The practical need
Rehabilitation care is often interrupted after patients return home. The programme aims to maintain guidance, exercise and follow-up between appointments, with prescriptions and exercise plans managed by the clinical team.
Proposed care model
Hospital assessment → prescribed programme → home exercise → follow-up → reassessment. This is a proposed model; the hospital will agree its scope and detailed workflow before implementation.
The role of technology
According to the Hopita Telerehab supplier catalogue, the platform supports an exercise video library, programme assignment and adjustment, session recording and progress monitoring. The catalogue also describes camera-based movement recognition, repetition counting and posture feedback. These are supplier-described features; their use at Vinmec Da Nang will be confirmed through assessment and testing before implementation.
The role of the hospital
The hospital selects suitable patients, approves exercise programmes and organises follow-up and reassessment. The clinical team is responsible for prescribing and adjusting programmes and addressing issues under the approved workflow. Technology supports guidance, recording and monitoring within that workflow.
Two components within one direction
The 29 October 2026 workshop features upper-limb rehabilitation robotics with Hai Minh and Barrett, as shown on the poster. Alongside it, Dr Quach reports a planned teleRehabilitation signing with Hopita Company Limited. Technical integration or data sharing between the robotics system and Hopita is not confirmed.
Proposed pathway
Agree scope and records → configure the system and accounts → train the team → acceptance → pilot operation → evaluation. Signing, acceptance and the start of patient services are separate milestones.
Monitoring & evaluation
The team needs to agree the proposed indicators before measurement. No outcome data are published here yet.
- Eligible patients, consent and activation.
- Exercise adherence and appropriate functional measures.
- Safety, response times and patient experience.
- Workload and feasibility; proposed 30-, 60- and 90-day reviews.
Status on 27 October 2026
Signing is planned for 29 October; signing, acceptance and operation are not yet confirmed. This record will follow actual outcomes. Capacity in a proposal is not a count of patients already served.
- Signing: planned for 29 October 2026; the actual date will be updated after confirmation.
- Acceptance: not yet confirmed; to be recorded separately against the acceptance record.
- Start of operation: not yet confirmed; to be recorded separately when patient services actually begin.
